Got rid of the dinos. Got a few pieces in. The WD and red dragon went and RTN’d. Sent an ICP and showed some tin in the system. After a water change last week, things are looking up again. Got a couple more pieces, a goldenrod and tck pikachu. Here’s a FTS from last week, enjoy!

It is actually great for my tank size. The evaporation rate is about 5 gallons a week, so the Tunze nano works just fine. If I were to get another, it would be a duetto

So cool story, went on a 1 week trip to Hawaii. Saw coral reefs in their natural habitats for the first time, it was an awesome experience. Came home to more hair algae overtaking the tank. On top of that, it was moving week!

Moved the tank and inhabitants.. and lost 99% of the livestock! Such a tragedy. Only survivors- pair of clowns, mandarin goby, lawnmower blenny, and a single peppermint shrimp.

Tank restart just happened. I’m bummed that I lost my small colonies of corals, their growth were exceptional. Now, I know what I need to do to preserve these delicate creatures. Pictures of the reboot to come later.

I just happened to look into the tank last night, and noticed something spectacular. Acro spawning! I’m always fascinated with documentaries showing acros spawning, but to see it in person was something else. Check out the little gametes!

This is July 2023. I can’t take good pictures nowadays. I have been lazy to take pictures of the tank. But these acros are growing fast.

Current list of corals:

Bubblegum Digi
RR Pink Floyd
Hawkins Echinata
Walt Disney
Red Dragon
Pikachu
RR the Vinh
Tyree Pinky the Bear
TSA Bill Murray
TGC Creamsicle
Tyree Ultimate Blue Stag
Red Planet
RRU OP
Bali Green Slimer
Unknown green stag
Wild Teal stag
Wild brown green Mille
ATL Purple Rain
Green Anacropora

Current list of fish:
2x Green Chromis
2x mocha storm clownfish
Tomini Tang
Foxface

The green mandarin goby died. It was huge, not sure if it was from old age or from the clownfish. The clownfish started breeding, a batch of eggs every 2 weeks. The clowns started laying eggs where the mandarin likes to sleep. So, maybe that contributed to its demise. There will be another tank move within the next year. So, hopefully, there won’t be another tank crash.
