+ 1 you have to test before adding. You probaly don't need them. Keep it simple and don't pour alot of stuff into your tank without testing first.

Take them back to the LFS for credit, you don't need nor want them.
If you do not have good quality test kits for each and every single ingredient in an additive or supplement, and use those kits on a regular basis to establish background levels and a demand, AND know for sure the supplement is in fact necessary, they don't even think about putting it in your tank.
It is very easy to get a small reef system out of balance and extremely hard to get it back under control. Leave those supplements and additives at Petco and Petsmart and concentrate on good water quality using RO/DI and a name brand reef salt mix, nothing else.
