Anyone hanging their 360x units from the ceiling? If so, how? I’m informed this is a DIY only option for this unit. Seems like an oversight on Kessil. I have a peninsula and just bought two... contemplating an Orphek trade.

Not 6 months, but 6 weeks on a new build and so far I love these lights. The build quality and aesthetics of both the hardware and the colors are top notch. Here is a picture, sans corals obviously.

I did a 3 month review of the Kessil A360X, that was about 3 months ago now... so I have been running them for 6 months total

I stand by everything I said in my 3 month review, and have had awesome growth continue since then as well!

Also here is my lighting schedule and program

Hi I am getting 1 360x next week to try out on my 220 compared to my old lights before I buy 2 more I was wondering what your tank dimensions are and what order you have the t5s in. I have to ati blue plus and 2 ati actinics as well and think i may copy your scedual as your tank looks amazing.

I really love how the tank (IM nuvo 25 lagoon black with a single 360x) is doing under the 360x. I’ve known since day one with acro’s I would need to deal with shadowing and I had a few different ideas (T5 hybrid fixture or a second 360x being the main ideas). I finally went with a orphek OR2 bar and I think with the 360x it is working out to be a great combo.

Nice! I have two ap700's and three OR2 blue plus over my shallow 90g. I'm going to pick up a 360x for the middle of the tank, then I'll replace the 700's with more 360x's. This will allow me to fine tune the position of each light over my scape and create nice overlapping between the lights.

Nice I’m really impressed with the output of the OR2 blue plus. For the price they are a great way to reduce shadowing with led’s

For my shallow tank, 120 degree lenses would've worked better, but I'm not complaining. They replaced my two T5 blue+ I had on the outsides of my 700's. The UV really makes things pop. Money well spent.

I bought a pair of 360x when they first came out so they’ve been over my tank for a bit over 10 months. BUT, I’m not just Kessil. Besides running 360 and 160 WE lights I also run Radions. Although there are things I like about the 360x there has been absolutely no difference to my tank swapping two Xs for two WEs.

I have no clue what I should set the red and green channels to. Any suggestions?

Those are pretty much for your viewing pleasure. Adjust them until you like the way it looks.

For example, I increase the red in the evening as it ramps down for a bit of a fake sunset.

Lil over 6 months on my lagoon and the single 360x is working well. I've played with the intensity levels, Increasing and decreasing then back to increasing. Currently running @ 85% during peak hours. I've also been experimenting with my light curve and peak intensity times. Other reefers are.surprised when they see my curve. I like it and it's working for me.
I was running a more blue vibe over the tank in the beginning, 18-20k icy look. About a month ago, I decided to increase the white spectrum a bit to give it a more natural look and see how the corals respond. So far everything seems to be doing a bit better with the added white.
Overall, I'm pleased with the light, easy to clean/wipe down, the spectral controller is super easy to use and adjust settings of ever needed. With the release of the new wifi controller dongle, I may have to pick one up just to have a wireless handheld way to adjust anything if needed.
The tank mount is rock solid and super clean looking on the tank. I did have questions about the tank light mount and the base where it mounts to the tank being in the water. I was assured it would be fine and not cause any metal contaminants in the water....but it was a concern of mine.
I'm happy with the light so far and a single 360x is perfect for my 25g lagoon.
Things I wish I would see Kessel do,
Create a bar style light comparable to a reefbrite or orpheck but using there led clusters.
Maybe a lil bit more wattage. Like a kessel 420
Few more specific color controls on the controller.
There own line of reef ready tanks.

So I have the 360x with the rigid mounting arm. Curious question. I've had the light on a 25g ext lagoon tank for around 5 months or so. I have the light centered up and mounted on the backwall. Since set up, Part of the light mount has been partially submerged in water. Didnt really think much of it until recently. Now I'm curious if this can affect my water parameters over time due to possible corrosion? Should I move the mount up out of the water and if I did would it still be strong enough to support the light? I have noticed coraline growing on the submerged area of light mount. Just worried over time about the coating flaking off or corrosion over time. Attached is a pic I snapped on my cell. Any input would be welcome and appreciated.

I have the same setup, 25g lagoon black (I drilled mine for a eclipse overflow. I have mine at 100% intensity and 30% color. I have added a Orphek OR2 60cm led bar as well for extra light. My target is 350-400 par in the center of the tank and this combo gets it there

thanks for the fast reply. I mount the light 12inch above my 25 most lps and softy. I don't know what intensity should use. I do have a brand new par meter but I don't think it's accurate at all. I'm new to reef aqurium kind afraid I already damaged some of my corals. (was running 70% intensity and 40 %color for few days)

At 12” above and 70% intensity you were probably only 150 par directly under it so you shouldn’t have burned anything. They may be getting used to the light but I doubt you did permanent damage. At 100% and 8”’s above I get about 250 par.

Thanks again. I just pulled out my par meter to test it again. Even at 100% intensity 40% color, the par level only 100 on the sand bed. Is this sounds normal? about 190 below the surface. (par meter is apogee sq420)

pretty close to what I’ve seen 12” off the water is pretty high for the 360x even though it will help with spread.

12" is pretty high, I think most run 6" to 8" off the water
