Hello,
I have a redsea 425Xl which is about 47 inches wide and around 20 inches deep. I am currently running an aquatic life t5 hybrid fixture with 4 bulbs and 2 kessil A360X's. My aqua scape is two large rock islands with one kessil above each formation. I'll attach a picture. The highest PAR reading I get at 100% intensity is about 230 with around 190 on the bottom. I'll attach a picture of the PAR readings for the rest of the tank. My goal is to have a mixed reef with LPS on the bottom and loaded with high end stunner acros on the top. The tank is one year old and I am having mixed results. Some across like the slimers, tort and red dragon are doing great. But the feature acros like the heartbreaker and Bill Murrey and dipping dots are either browning out, bleaching or just not showing any extension. My water parameters are PO4 .04, nitrates .4, All 7.7 and calc 494. Bout three weeks ago I started testing Nitrates for the first time and found undetectable levels. I started dosing Nitrates to bring it up and it has seemed to help.
my question is should I get another A360X to run three and get the PAR up? I think my wife has already bought me one for christmas, but I could always return it. My goal would be to reach the 250 to 300 range of PAR. However, I don't want to stress my LPS with too much. I appreciate all your suggestions?
Thanks
Kevin
