I’m new to this site and I’m in the process of starting a 90 gallon reef. Acrylic tank is in the garage and I’m on my second try to restore it. This time is going very well. Lumber for the stand is in my garage and rock is cooking in the basement. I’ve got a ways to go but I’m excited and I certainly have the time to do it with all of this craziness going on. I left the hobby during a career change and when my kids were very young. I also had 8 species of breeding pairs of clowns at the time. It’ll be good to start all over again.

Welcome! I did the same as you. My tank crashed 4 years ago and I lost all interest, but I still kept it running and had it maintained all this time. If you still have your old skimmer, trash it. The new age skimmers are way better. Get one with a DC pump. Bubble Magus is really inexpensive and fantastic! I got a 10year anniversary BM-100 for $100 off ebay. I paid $500 for my reed octopus 11 years ago. The BM is so much better.

Welcome to R2R and back to the salty side of life! Now would be the best time to start a build thread. You can document your journey virtually from the ground up.
