Saved £10 on a nice big frag of a bright green monti digi and got it for free with a £39 2 head green&purple hammer coral. It was great because I needed to test my nano to see if it can grow easier sps and to see if flow was too strong for LPS/Euphillia

eBay acro frag packs. I buy 10 frags at a time for like $200. You can get some cool stuff for cheap. Got a pikachu for $20 and a WD for $40. I find local reefers want more.

Most recent was a tennis ball sized mini colony of WD for $100.

If I was that person I could have immediately hacked it up into 8-10 frags or so and sold them for a nice profit...

Always buy local when I can.

Live sales are nice and all, but I can buy a frag 2x the size for 50% the price locally.

I picked up 10 frags for $50 yesterday. They are mostly random stuff nothing too crazy but there are three or four pieces that have potential to be something special

I support local business too. I am not in hobby for good deals. If local stores can grow corals and not just a chop chop shop I like them.

I can say with cerainty, in the days of halides, the frags you got were chunkier 3" and grew faster.

Bought a torch pack from @CCK_8814 and he has the best prices and quality on stuff. Order single heads of stuff and they we’re huge or even doubles. Will def buy from again. Also got an awesome OG from a local reefer for a great price

This! Local frag swaps are the way to go. I recently picked up a green slimer and PC Rainbow for $10 each.
Yeah, I pretty much will give a PC Rainbow frag away of someone picks up an RBTA from me - which I only do those for $20 too! Figured, if I got one from a local for $20 might as well sell the splits at the same price.

My LFS used to buy RBTA’s from me for $15 and try to flip them for $85…. Wasn’t happy after seeing that tbh.

Just 85? My lfs will sell a very bleached small rbta for 100$ but hey I can trade in coral cuz no way I’m paying that lol

The reef groups in the Houston area have amazing deals compared to any online vendors I’ve seen.

I got a nice frag yesterday from a new lfs shipment. It was a wild milli.
Just purchased a spathulata that was shipped yesterday from Florida so waiting to see what condition it comes in at.
First oline order I did the box was smashed and a day late, coral was dead. This is my second.
I really have to buy online now as lfs has nothing new for quite awhile.
