Just ordered my new additions to my ro filter setup.
Moving stuff around with my 6 stage and adding stages. Moving to city water and they use Chloramine in the water. So I’m making sure water is perfect and taking no chances.

Supposed to rain all week but I'm still packing.

I'll put some pictures up of the new tank location Friday. Probably have the stand in place Saturday or Sunday. I'll have to add in all the supports along the sides of the stand to brace the sump walls and tank bottom edges. Then I'll fill sump with water and test the sump out again for a couple weeks while I put the glass together on top of the stand and let the silicone cure.

Sure there will be a bunch of posts soon so stay tuned

Update
In the new place but still have a couple trips to the old house to get last few things and move fish and corals.

Here’s a picture of my ro system now eleven stages from six. I’m going to change out some of the cartridges. The old dual DI is now a 5micron and 1 micron pre filter. Then Chloramine Monster, another sediment filter, then two carbon blocks, then the dual membranes, the the triple DI pro grade resigns.

At the moment the tank complete will leave me 16 inches to the ceiling. Should be enough for the lightning and putting stuff in the tank.
I think I might try to lower it some but may be tricky with the sump.

This is the location of the new tank I will be building a wall in front of the tank to make it built-in and then the door in the background will be access to the back of the tank giving me a room behind the tank. Area behind the tank should be around 4x12 feet.

Now I'm in motion even though I'm still unpacking from the move and a weekend out of town and painting. Yes the list goes on but this is a must as I can't rush it.
My tanks temporary setup

put some 40mil PVC liner on bottom of the stand before standing it up. This thing is heavy but I got it up by myself. The liner is mostly for noise so that the frame underneath the sump won't sound so hollow.

yes I will trim the excess liner.

Got the RO/ DI setup. I think I'm going to change my membranes and add a 3rd. Being on city water now I pay for sewer too so trying to save water. I also want more out put so I'm thinking 100gpd membranes or 150 haven't decided yet.

Before Chloramine Monster but after sediment filters. I have moved the sensor to before the sediment filters now.
20180531_214256.jpg

After RO and before DI. 12ppm 96% rejection
20180531_214328.jpg

0ppm after first stage of DI
20180531_214335.jpg

I should be getting a mich better rate but I just hooked this all up so some more flushing and it should get better and after the softener install it should get better.

Now up to 97% rejection rate. And a output of 153 gallons a day. Definitely going to upgrade membranes to 100 Gpd. X 2

Got the stand leveled today and next is adding in the rest of the bracing and supports for the stand and sump. Then I can do a long term water try est on the sump. Then its glass time.

Ordering the two 100gpd membranes. I just reconfigured my membranes to parallel operation instead of in series. My TDS is in the 340 range so this is a better setup per the advice of BRS.

Ok so here we go. Finally have a chance to get some progress on this thing.

Here is the start of many pictures coming at you so stay tuned.

Adding sump side supports at the moment. Should have just used 3/4 plywood instead of this 1/2" finish ply. To late now.

But here we go. Getting ready for sump final water test before putting the glass on top.

Just for reference all the unpainted wood is the added supports. If you have been with this thread from the beginning this is the adding of supports I talked about.

I also installed a water softener on the house and the water is nice and soft. Our city water is hard. Wife says her skin feels better after a shower than before so I guess it's a win lol.

Water still holding well in the sump.
Not wanting to rush it. If all is good then I'll put the glass on top next weekend. Let that silicone cure for another week then water test the tank.
I will have time to plumb up everything during the cure time.
I will move the water from the sump to the tank so I'm not wasting it then too it off. Then I will clean the sump and fill it with saltwater and all my live rock etc. Hook up the skimmonster and some temporary circulation in the sump.
