You would be correct that mixed with the light I thought was egg crate I thought you put down for the rocksMy tank is bare bottom. Where did you see egg crate?
Maybe you are referring to the mesh lid.

I am very interested in getting this exact tank, I am worried about the metric plumbing, what is your experience so far? and do you think it can be fitted for a roller fleece
I am following as I just ordered the same tank. How’d you mount those lights with the ATO lid? Are you worried about the light bleed from the fuge into the tank? What’s in those media baskets and are they easy to manipulate? Easy to get to your return pump?

Beautiful set up. How did you stack your rock? Is is glued?Great looking build! I have the CADE 1500 and am about as far along as you are. I really like the look of the cutouts on the ATO lid, I was hesitant about doing that myself but now I will be firing up the dremmel. Did you remove the filter sock section altogether, that's an interesting move.
I found the XR15s to be just the right amount of light, I will have three above mine and based on the two already mounted the PAR levels are a tad high at full intensity.
I'm running out of media I can put in the media section. What is your plan there?
HelloI am thinking of going with the Triton method myself. So a Refugium was a must for me. So I just removed the filter sock compartment all together to create a large Refugium chamber instead. It also allows me space to fit a roller mat of kind in there if I need to, but I think that the triton method recommends no filter socks or other methods of nutrient removal so I won’t bother.
because the tank comes pre-plumbed, I haven’t had to deal with this issue myself. But if you feel like you need to modify I am sure you can get some pieces from places like marine depot or BRS

Yes, I used stonefix from Aquaforest on this tankBeautiful set up. How did you stack your rock? Is is glued?
Yes, I did away with the 1980s filter socks too!Hello
I just purchased a 1500 and a BRS Clarisea 5000. I am very handy and I feel I can disassemble the sock and refugium divider and fit the fleece roller. If the sump is connected with silicone, I should be able to separate and rearrange. Were you successful in connecting the rollers?. Filter socks are so 1980
Thanks
Thanks. This is really helpfulYes, I did away with the 1980s filter socks too!
That’s what thing all tank designers should do away with IMO
here are a few pics of how I installed my SK-5000.
CADE’s use Chinese plumming so the sizes are different. But here in Australia we have few places that stock this size plumming. So just got some elbows and pipe and hooked it up.
My EcoTech Vectra M2 is running at 90% constant speed and the fleece is doing okay. Water is very clean.
my nutrients are doing well with the Roller, Refugium and Skimmer.
Phos: 0.01ppm
Nitrate: 4ppm
The sock filter holders are sitting on a small ledge w/silicon to hold them in place. Pretty easy to just pop them outhello nice tank! how did you remove the sock filter holders? did you have to cut through it on the cade sump?
