Looks like great growth to me! I really love how clean the insides of the tank are, it takes a lot to keep up with that.

THANKS! I think I get great growth because I don't skimp on salt, bulbs, and additives. I only buy giesemann t5 bulbs, tropic marin bio-actif salt, and I only use aquavitro additives. Otherwise it's DIY and second-hand equipment!

I used to use them, and then I went to zeo additives. It seems that those are def working for you. Do you have a cal reactor or hand dose

hand dose, maybe one day ill get a calc reactor, but not in the near future. i run a tight budget, so equipment i can do without is avoided.

Hi,

I see you mentioned Giesmann bulbs here, which colours are they? I really like the glow of the tank.

Dunc

i run 4 bulbs; 420 actinic, 460 actinic, aquapink, and 10,000k. i had a 15,000k in lieu of the 10, but was having trouble with coloring so i switched it up. it helped a little.

ok, it's been almost 3 months since i last posted pics.
Update: I added a bio-pellet reactor to my system, it feeds directly into my skimmer. my skimmage has increased and darkened. my nitrates have dropped and are steady.
I have added 2 additional 36" T5 bulbs to make 6 bulbs overall.
i have added/lost corals and a few fish(tang stressed them to death, he's going to be caught very soon).
Corals continue to grow well and im getting better color since adding the new bulbs.

The Reactor is feed from a pump in the return side of the sump and it feeds straight into the skimmer.

oh yeah, almost forgot, bubble algae EXPLOSION during the peak of summer. i have had emeralds going to town on it for two weeks. they have managed to clear a couple rocks, but the task is monumental.
