Large White Lattice Lurking Under Torch - Please Help ID

Could somebody help identify a large white blob under my Torch.
Only noticed it tonight when the moon cycle was on.

Thanks JGT - no it does not move. Do you think it would be OK just to scrape it off ?

Sure, do it outside of the tank so as not to spread spores. Rinse off with tank water before placing back in tank.

Sponge. Likely harmless. They can sometimes spread fast and cause problems that way, so you can remove it if you want, but plenty of types will never be an issue.
