Speaking of running out of room, my Anacropora is just a mm away from one of my rainbow looms so I’ll need to frag one or the other. I don’t really need a frag of the Anacropora and I’d like a frag of the loom but it feels risky. Going to mull that over.

Looks like I'll have to do it individually.

This is awesome thanks for giving me my geek fix for the day. I really need to do better job at keeping records now that I have a cpl sticks in the mix.
Can literally see your system balancing out here.

No problemo!
We’re you able to access the other parameters as well?

yes, things are definitely stabilizing.
my nitrates stay around 18, salinity and temp never change, calcium and magnesium are high but dead stable so I don’t sweat the number.
Phosphate is the only thing that’s up and down. If it gets to zero I feed pellets for a couple days and they come back up.
I wanted my alk at 9 but the tank decided that 8.6 was where it wanted to be, so 8.6 it is! I think it’s important not to force things.

Do you spot feed your coral
I don't feed the coral directly. There are many many scientific papers out there that say it has very little effect and probably just as many that say the opposite.
I feed the fish once a day a mixture of PE Mysis, Hikari Spirulina Brine, LRS Reef Frenzy and PE Calanus. I also feed Phyto Feast every 3 days. I think the Calanus and the phyto are useful to the coral but the other stuff not so much.
I guess I just feed them Light and whatever they happen to scavenge.

spamaramadingdong !

My Electric Miyagi Tort, definitely a favourite. Lower light equals more green in my tank.

Excellent its pretty much where I'm at. All stable just trying to keep it that way and let the magic happen..
Once I dosed my Mag back up in tank 1 my Alk pretty much locked in.
I'm going to have to check out that link you posted ive seen others using that but never looked any further.

Around the 3 month mark I decided to try my hand at some Euphylia. First one I got is this Frogspawn. It had 2 heads and got it for a steal at Coral Reef Shop in Burlington for $50. It fell in love with my tank almost immediately which of course made me pretty darn chuffed!
Started it out on the frag rack then moved it after a week or so onto the rocks. This is where I'd envisioned a little frogger/hammer garden. Unfortunately the Frogger grew so fast that I had to abandon that plan and move it to the sand where it is now very happy and made some new friends as well ;)
The third pic would be the most accurate in regards to colour.

As a fellow info nerd you'll love AquaticLog. Can keep track of literally everything. I use the desktop version mainly because I hate working on my phone but it sends alerts through the phone. It's free for 1 tank.

One last question sir. "Chuffed"
Is this something you picked up around the Appalachia or a Canadian thing Eh?

Beginner tip for today. I might add one of these every now and then. They’ll probably be little mistakes that I’ve made, nothing major.

when you’re first filling up your AIO tank after your rock and sand and equipment are in place make note of the amount of water you put in. I forgot to do this so I’ve been guessing since day one the actual water volume in my tank. So now when I’m adding something like phytoplankton or bacteria I just err on the side of caution and slightly underdose according to the guesstimate I’ve made on actual volume.
Ya, duh me. ;Facepalm

Really need to frag my Xenia. It’s staying on its island but it’s the size of a melon now! Never done it before. Plan is to take the Xenia rock out of the tank and snip off a number of pieces. Then put those pieces in a container with rock rubble and let them attach on their own.
Does this sound like a good plan ?
Will any food grade plastic container work for this?
Hopefully my lfs will give me some store credit for the frags. $5 per frag?

I used a fresh razor blade for my solomon when I did it, just to reduce risk of contamination or anything like that. I also recommend adding or replacing carbon in your main tank at the time - leathers seem to like to release rage when cut. But yeah this is basically the process I followed and it seemed to work out :) I'm sure someone will tell you a better process but it worked for me.

Excellent ! Thanks. I’ll use a razor blade for sure I’ve got some kicking around.
Do you think a dip would be a good idea? I only have Coralrx but I could easily get some Revive.
I’ll change out my carbon just to be safe.

I did an iodine dip, not sure if it was necessary but didn't hurt anything.
