My lawnmower blenny is trying out the mysis shrimp that I'm feeding my coral with. There's plenty of algae in the tank to eat though. It has eaten a few pieces of shrimp so far.

What's going on? And should I be worried?

Totally normal, he will probably stop eating as much algae though if he has a full belly. IMO, they aren't the best algae eaters in our tanks anyhow.

I wouldn't be worried. I would say it is healthier for the fish since it now has a varied-omnivorous diet. Im sure it will still graze on the algae for snacks during the day and at night. That is what mine does. But, it will probably never rid your tank of algae.

I have found the best things for that are
turbo snails
king hermits
tuxedo urchins
less light
magnesium dosing(a little difficult to perform properly)
and tangs if your tank can hold one
