So my $10 Monti Cap frag looks to be a starburst Montipora and it is really nice. Already starting to heal where I broke it in two.

Got a couple new pieces at my LFS, I have been looking at this green slimmer since it was a couple inch frag last summer. It’s been $70 the whole time well the store had a 25% off flash sale so I decided what the hey it will help fill my new tank.

Thanks, it’s been fun setting up these nano’s. I think I’m at the point where I can sit back and just let things grow. I’ve been trying to tie up all the loose ends like electronics and my water station.

Some electrical clean up

Added a American DJ power bar (this is really nice for the price)

Added some extension cords and mounted them to the top of the stand for my heaters, skimmer and fuge lights (I’m hoping to find a used eb8 I can use in the stand to power all these things eventually)

Cleaned up my AWC by adding mur-loc bulkheads to my water containers

My favorite time (lights are going down and I just added some reef energy to the tank so it glows)

So how do you like the coverage with a single 360x?
I have the extmoxel and same light I'm about to set up, same stand dimensions as well just 4 " shorter.
Very nice build, following

The coverage is good, eventually I may go to with 2 but that would be after my sps turn to colonies and be for shadowing reasons. The 360x has plenty of power for this size tank.

Cool, good to know a bbn out the light. I have everything to get this going minus the stand. I have to build one. Planned on going the same dimensions you chose because of my sump, its a skimz up30. I've been working on a design for a wood stand.
I do however like the aluminum frame that you selected. How are the panels connected, are the screwed in or do they pop out?

The side panels are just a snug fit so no connection (I’m probably going to add some magnets as the wood is drying and. Shrinking a tad so they are a little loose now). The front panels have magnets holding them in place. The top and bottom are screwed in.

So did you attach a steel clip or something for the front panel? Aluminum is no ferris metal so, non magnetic.
The aluminum design looks awesome. I visited the site you posted and could not get the clips to fasten the frame to load to cart, also wasnt sure about the drilling on both ends, I even looked at the list you posted on page 4. I was just trying to get an actual cost.
I think I'm just gonna go with a plywood stand since I have 3 sheets of cabinets grade ply. The aluminum frame looks so clean though.
How do you like that rock so far? Did you pre cure it? Any leeching?

I used a standard cabinet magnet attached to an aluminum bracket I made out of 1” aluminum.

As for the rock it was hassle free, it had a brief ugly stage where I got some Dino looking (brown stringy algae with air bubbles) stuff that I had to siphon off. It may have been diatoms as I added a small clean up crew and a couple days later it looks as pristine as the other tank. I did get a lot of white film in the new tank due to what I’m assuming was bacteria blooms. I now have acros in the tank and it going well.

The black is really nice, I’m not a fan of AIO’s as I like a sump. I wanted something close to the 50g but marine depot had this for $80 so I pulled the trigger and got it. I do like the dimensions on it although everything is small. My eventual size will be 36x24 by about 18 inches tall.
