Very cool, I am surfing through everyones setup, and steering toward what you and @pelphrey have done. What is your display/sump volume?

I have a Red Sea Reefer 250 - 65 Gallons total water volume. I don't keep salt mixed up, just 80 gallons of RODI. 80 gallons will last me a minimum of 2 months, most of the time longer!

Here is my setup. For anyone in Southern Cali, the barrels are from Chem-Tainer and are manufactured in Compton. You can buy it from Plastic-Mart and pick it up for free. They will drill the holes and put the bulkheads where ever your want for free.

I still need to hook up the float valve.

I have the same roto mold tanks in the OP. The sides of my tanks are bulging some when full. Should I be concerned? Is this normal?

The one's in the OP bow when full as well. Never been an issue and I haven't worried about it.

Lots of places sell them. I linked where I got mine from in post#11 or #12 above.

Finally finished my mixing station, however I would like to build some type of stand for it eventually.

Is that the quick connect from BRS you have there? I was thinking of doing something similar to get saltwater around the fish room.

@jbarn1225, I believe this question was directed to you. Not to answer for them, they look like Banjo cam fittings to me.

Anyone with 2 norwesco 65g containers side by side able to get a measurement on the total length? I only have about 48" to work with length wise and I'd like to get at least 2 50g+ containers. I've also considered building up vertically to save space but it seems like the horizontal jugs may not mix as well, maybe it's just the ones with the legs that look like that though.

If you look at the setup in the first post of this thread, the total distance from the left tank to the right tank is 45". Now those are only 55g containers but it should at least give you an idea.

Thanks, I'll probably just stick with something around that size. Getting them to fit is more important than a couple extra gallons capacity.

I’m all excited...picked up my drums on Friday...plan to start hooking up the plumbing this weekend.

As there isn’t any flat faces on these drums I’ve got some Uniseals instead of Bulkhead fittings so will be interested to see how they go.
