What quick disconnect fittings are you using? And can you post a pic of the hose end as well? I am trying to figure out a quick disconnect setup for my mixing station as well. Originally I was looking for a plastic quick disconnect that would work with my Python hose, but its not working out to well for me lol.

I used this and 3/4 vinyl hose from Amazon, you will also need to buy the other end(I used threaded for 3/4 shut off)

Critique my gravity-fed 55 gallon barrel mixing station set up.

20210412_153947.jpg

~will be using uniseals for the barrels.
~true union ball valves
~DOS for AWC from bottom mixed salt barrel
~ 5 gal bucket with air tight srew lid on bottom SW barrel
~ stand will be 2x4
~ internal pump for mixing SW
~RODI hooked up to top barrel with float swith and aqutic life booset buddie with auto **** off valve.
~ thinking of bottom barrel on coasters so I can pull out if needed?

See anything you would change?

Just going to leave this picture here. I cannot thank this group enough for all the knowledge I've been able to gather along the way. This project certainly would not have come out looking this good (if I do say so myself) without this thread!!

I basically want to do this same setup. Do you have a plumbing parts list by chance?

Beware of FOD (foreign object debris).

My plastic measuring cups handle broke off so I threw it away and kept on scooping salt from the bucket and pouring it in the mixing vat. Well it looks like a shard got in the salt and in the mixing tank. It lunched my Pan World pump. Parts are more expensive than a new pump. An expensive lesson. Beware.

I did get a new spiffy glass measuring cup and a new pump is on the way.

I do! And, to be fair, I believe these are @SuncrestReef photos (I'm 99% sure, because that's how I saved them to my computer). I made a few minor changes, to adjust for my specific pump, and my "return" line into the mixing barrel isn't as elaborate, etc... but mostly used this template. I'm VERY happy with the final product, and also glad to answer any specific questions, if I can

Apparently the website didn't like the Word format... let's try again...

Where is everyone sourcing the tanks from now a days? Are you all just ponying up for shipping? Central Florida area here if anyone has a place...

I couldn't find the size I wanted at TSC or HD.... so I just searched Norwesco + <city name>. I ended up buying it from a place that sold all type of ag supplies. Picked them up locally with no shipping charge.

Only thing I can find locally it seems is the 35 gallon tank, I already have one of them so one more would run me ~$150.

Or I can have the 65 or 75 gallon shipped for ~$500, which seems crazy...

My tank is ~110gal and will be doing 10% weekly AWC, should I be good with 2 35s? That would mean I need to mix every 3 weeks.
