I am highly contemplating doing a nem only tank. I would love some inspiration from the R2R community. Also some reasons why or why not to do one!

I have my chicago nem in my mixed reef and I can’t believe how much I like it. I just want it to take over haha. Instead I’m thinking of just getting another tank (yes if you have tips and tricks to sell that to your wife I will take those too haha)

RFAs don't move much, are super hardy, and don't mind touching each other. Id recommend maybe a smaller tank and stocking it with lots of nem dwelling inverts. Porcelain crabs, and various shrimp come to mind.

I’m setting up my tank with a peacock mantis, Maroon clown and a gbta. Mantis and peacock have blends together for a while with no issues.

The clown craves a host. I just added the anemone today and instantly the clown is there. Everyone seems happy.

This is an experiment. I know I could have problems in the tank. Definitely adds some movement to the mantis’s gone. If it goes well I’m gonna add a rainbow bta in the future.

Ok took a few cleaner pics. BTA was moving around during the night. Found a spot on the side. Has opened up nicely and appears happy. Really hoping to find a cheaper rainbow soon.

That looks amazing too! The Nems really are the way to go. I’m excited for it. I’ll have to slowly transition over.

anyone mix BTA with rock flower or mini maxi?
