I bought all my clams locally.
You can buy lot of thing cheap in California until they get those thing on the ban list. Also, I got fed up with freshwater species ban list in California, 90% fish species I want to keep and they are on ban list...LOL

Tell me about it, Im next door in Nevada. No FW rays, Gars or piranhas. Well theres more, but those are the ones I remember because they're the ones I want to keep. Especially rays. But at least you got that bustling clam market in CA.

I think I need to invest in some natural sunlight light system, our clam look much better under that light spectrum for photo
I love this baby maxi a lot, it's in my system long enough to ignore most movement around the tank and fishes unless I directly block the light above it then it will retract.

Even photo took through the side tank glass and its still show amazing color and beauty look

I just do 25% water change a week.

Gorgeous! Super jelly...

Sadly, I just lost my new (and beautiful) ultra maxima. Moved it out of quarantine after it did well and into my main tank. Woke up to the crabs working it over.

Was fine when I went to bed last night... :/
