Lets see some ultra clams, colored up Squamosa's, colored teardrop Maxima's, black and white Maxima's, blue Derasa's, and what some call Maxea's but what I call brightly colored up Croceas...

Here are a few of mine that I have had in the past and some that I still have.

One of my current black and white Maxima's, 2".

These are all the rare clams that I currently have, I will add more pic's of rare clams that I have had in the past soon.

My three new Maxima from "Our Pick" bright blue Maxima clams from Dr. Mac at PEA. One of my friend will choose one of the three and the other two are mine.

Yes. There are quite a few aptasia. You can also see them in the Xenia colony. I used LR cultured in the Gulf of Mexico. There are quite a few Aptasia sp. anemones in/on it. I should have a CBB coming this coming week to deal with it.

How’s the CBB with the clams? Does it bother them at all?

Bought these beautiful Maximas last week $29 each from PetCo! They are small but appear very healthy. About 1.5 and 1.75 inches. Check your local PetCo for new cheap clams! You can see the recent shell growth.

Wow those look healthier than clams I've see at the LFS. Did they have their foot in tact?

Curious what your QT process was like for these guys? Not sure I'd trust anything going in my tank from Petco without one... which seems tough for a clam

I have a 29 gallon quarantine tank with one clown. It is always going and has a Hamilton 14K 175 watt MH bulb. HOB filter and live rock. Nothing fancy but works well. To date the clams have been in the QT 8 days. When purchased, they weren't attached to anything and I saw absolutely no sign of PSnails or PMD. After acclimating, I gave them a good scrubbing under a running faucet with similar water temp. This is what I always do with no harm to any clam IME--just don't scrub any protruding mantel and avoid forcing a bristle into any clam opening or bysall gland. I gave them a good scrub--had to remove any Ich cysts that may have been around from Petco's parasite happy fish tanks. The clams are small and the feet are light and thin. They appeared to be intact but I did not use a magnifier glass. I bought the clams for what they are and was curious to see how they color up. I went back yesterday and the third clam they had was still there but it is not getting enough light. I would have bought it, but I now have 14 clams and I am worried I will be short on tank space in a year or two if I don't watch what I purchase. I felt sorry for it as I walked away :(. I usually quarantine clams for 2-10 weeks depending if I see signs of PS, PMD, or stress with the clams.

This isn't in my tank but thought it would be fun to share for you clam lovers. I took this pic in the middle of the Ceram sea off indonesia. It's about 6' wide if I remember correctly. Sorry for the lack of color correction. :/
