Had a derasa about a year ago that I had to give away, had it for about two years.

Also had a "Gold" Maxima around the same time but lost it when it fell into my Elegance.

Had a small blue but he unfortunately fell when I had a mantis in the tank and the mantis ate him up.

Have a current Maxima and Derasa, just got the Derasa a couple of days ago and the Maxima I've had since December last year.

For me no
I only feed the fish twice a day,but mine Nitrate ~ 20ppm

Not a thing. I let them do their job. Adequate light and whatever is in the water column.
