Ah. Yeah, that would be a little concerning. I'm not overly worried about the derasa that it's in with. I've had it for a couple of years now but it's nothing spectacular. Would still suck to lose either of them, but I'd be a little more worried if I had some expensive clams in the system already. I feel relatively safe as it was a cultured specimen.
Yeah derasa is by far the most resistant to diseases. Maybe DD has been aware of the situation and taken actions to correct that.

My T. noae. Wild caught from Viet Nam. Acclimated and growing agian in my tank. Full of Pyramid parasites when I first got him. I wore an article on how to deal with Pyramid parasitic snails with this guy. Link below:

Keep us updated and let us know if it is safe to buy from there again lol
Never knew it wasn't safe. I've historically had really good luck with DD. What was/is going on that made them unsafe to buy from?
I personally had not buy clams from DD before after I read many horror stories of how a sick clam from DD wiped out the entire clam collection. It’s a while since though. You can search it in the forum

This a very nice Ultra Crocea that was offer on sale on DD today (10/8/2020). I feel a little sad that such a clam was offer for sale. To me, this picture scream PMD. This is so easy to treat. The clam need to be treat prior to put for sale, especially on DD.
I love clams, and always looks at the clams that was put for sale by DD almost everyday. Lately, I have seen so many clams that are not healthy put up for sale. I don't think whoever in charge of clams at DD right now is very knowledgeable about clams.

Gigas clams make great central displays in any tank! They are not the most colorful but I love their mantle, shell shape, and size.

Looked at this thread a lot so heres my contribution. I have 2 maximas purchased at the same time around 6 months ago. One of them has struggled since day one, looks a bit like pmd but all over. The other is very healthy.
