Please tell me your secrets...
Maintaining perfect waters, virtually no flux in all 8 parameters, trace N and P, weekly feeds of phytoplankton and zooplankton.
No change in light for three years.
When waters remain stable for about a year, coral growth takes off.
Alk super important, higher or lower end doesn’t matter, its stability that counts.

Just started this 180g, from the 65g
Ran out of room

Love your tank. I am new and I have a 70g. Did you started with Frags or straight colonies? If frags how do you know where to place them to have this beautiful set up and how long before they grew so beautiful?

Just getting started in the reefing hobby, here’s my tank after almost 2 months:

Love it. How long have you had your frags in? They Seems to have grown quickly! Also how it took for your rocks to get Coralline Algae? I am 1.5 months in and still they are nice and white, but again I didn't add live rocks at all.

What are the balls in the sump? Are they just free standing, not a reactor? and in the electrical side, do you have check valves on your dosing lines? Nice organized cabinet.

You can all cancel the Tang Police. This is the first day of my 75g. All that you see was transferred from my 46g bowfront that I had running for four years now. Yellow is super happy and was exploring every inch of tank. I can't believe all this was in a 46. I have to use a cannister filter until I clean my sump and get that back together. Oh I added 5 Green chromis before adding rocks, corals and other fish.

The balls are ceramic bio balls. The stock flitration used 4 filter socks. I just replaced them with 4 cups full of ceramic balls. I have a filter roller with 50 micron paper for mechanical filtration. Yes I have check valves in both inlet and outlet sides. Did a lot. Of reading and this was the general consensus. Check it out here.

Oh I have had them from frags and they are still on the frag plugs. Coralline, hmm, it came from some of the rock. So it probably grew from there. My slimmer has been growing quickly, and especially my smurfette zoas I think they came with 2 or 3 polyps but 2 months later it’s like 17 polyps. You can see it on my Instagram @anaks_reef
