The previous avatar was all my kids but it was too hard to see them all unless you clicked on the avatar

Wow! After a double take i see... that's clever to soften the surroundings to make it look like that.

Not sure if that was the intention, but definitely my 1st thought.

A trick we use to do with our lens years ago was to put Vaseline on the lens to soften the photograph...like this one was done. Now you don't have to clean up your lens...just to it in PS

Wow, that comment took me WAY back! I used to do that back in college, that and let our prints sit in coffee for a sepia tone.
Now I feel old
I'll see if I can dig some of my old 4x5 prints out and some of my stuff from the newspaper.
