Got a used tank that comes with ReefBreeders Photon 24-V2+, I think the light does the job however it doesn't make the corals pop, want to upgrade during BlackFriday but would like to know the options, the sps will be on the right side, top 1/3 only.

2 * Radion R15 pro
Kessil ap9x
2 * Kessil 360x
2 * AI Prime 16HD
Others?

Thanks all!

It sounds like you want more actinic. What shimmer preference do you have.

Yah, I saw the AP9X in my lfs over an IM 30g and I was truly impressed, the shimmer is a bit too strong than my liking but the coral colors just pop. I have used radion g4 pro before and I like them too, but not sure if the new ones are better

Here is the photo of my lfs, they are using ocean blue1 50%

I say just play with the settings in the reefbreeder. Decrease the whites and reds and increase the blues. You should get the pop. Also water parameters plays a part to. Use a salt made for reefs.

Go for the High Octane UV. I get plenty of pop with the Photons, I have them over 3 tanks here.

I use RMP salt. I think the reefbreeder's blue is not as deep as kessil or AI, maybe I didn't set it properly, my current setting
2 red
2 green
15 white
50 blue
50 royal blue
50 uv

I would suggest taking a look at adding 2x reefi unos. https://www.reefi-lab.com/reefi-led-uno/

- 9 tunable channels
- plenty of par
- 3 year warranty
- cheaper than the radion and kessil options you have under consideration

If you're considering the lumenbars, just order them off of aliexpress from "populargrow". They are the same lights, cheaper, and they'll make custom led blends for you.

Try increasing the royal blue and uv. All of these fixtures use cree leds, so the spectrum should be the same. Just some fixtures add a lot more blue. So the ratios have to be different to get the color or spectrum.
