Looking for some opt on lighting this tank. Focus will be soft corals and fish. Thanks.

I'll edit that, somehow I missed the 8' part ;Hilarious ;Hilarious ;Hilarious

I'd say dual 48" T5 LED setups with which ever LEDs you prefer...

That's a long tank,

Do you want leds or t5s, a mix with halide?

For leds and just softies and fish you could get away with black boxes and stay under 500 most likely. Throw 4 of them over it and you technically would be ok.

If you want to add a bit more then you could go with AI, kessil, Radion. And get into some cash

If you go with t5s or a hybrid then you could get 2 48" fixtures and run them with any led you want.

Really it comes down to what look you want and how much you want to spend ;)

I’m looking to keep things simple with no annual bulb replacements. It’s mainly going to be softies, maybe a couple LPS and fish. Was debating a couple of reefbreeder photon V2 48” fixtures, or five Kessil 360x.

Don't sweat bulb replacement... you will be replacing LED panels soon enough - plan on about 5 year life span.

For softies and fish, I would just get 6 or 8 cheap black boxes, and maybe another for a spare. Mars or Vipar or something like that.
