Brand?

If a black box light, they will support a mag just fine. Just be sure to have some rock up high for it to move to. Mags love light and flow.

It is off of eBay. Doesn’t really give a name. It just says 165w led aquarium light for high output reefs and marine tanks

When searching that, all of those are dimmable black boxes. They will work fine. What size tank do you have, as true coverage of those lights is about 24”x18”? I also suggest removing the lenses to decrease hot spots and get better blending.

It is a 30 gallon. I know is small but will do for now. Hadn’t planned on having a magnifica. Kind of inherited it.

That light will support it, but you are going to have be be very diligent with keeping that tank pristine. Also, do not feed the nem in a tank that size. The biggest problem I see is that there is not much rock aka natural filtration and you are using a hob filter. You are going to have a lot of regular water changes ahead to provide a good environment for the nem.

I hate to suggest it, but it might be a good idea to try to find it a new home. Unless you are 100% committed.
