I have two 36 watt power compact lights in my biocube. One is the normal white light and the other is the actinic light. Will this light be fine for most soft corals? Also is there a better soultion that i could put in my biocube hood? I also was thinking of taking out the all white light and replacing it with a 50/50 bulb.

That should be fine for most soft corals, but if your looking to upgrade check out nanotuners.com they have lighting upgrades for those that make it easy.

I added blue LEDs to my T-5 light fixture for moonlight on my 40Gallon fish only. Worked great, so now I am building a 64 LED lamp with 16 Blue LEDs for my 60 Gallon fish only tank. They are great for direct lighting, reduced heat, which also reduces water evaporation.I will try and post pics when I get it done. led spot lighting
