Started messing around trying to learn how to shoot coral with my Canon 7D. Was taking the photos without a tripod so my movement of the camera didn’t help the fact I have no idea what I’m doing with the DSLR yet but figured I’d share some of the decent photos. Ordered a tripod and going to start tracking my settings so I can hone it in a bit. Anyway here are some photos:

I forget what this one is and the photo is blurry but wanted to document it’s size as it’s one of my favorite corals in the tank. It’s a deep purple with yellow polyps. The polyps don’t have great extension, not sure why, potentially getting blasted with flow.

DIY dosing containers for my Calcium, Alkalinity and Magnesium 3-part. VOSS 375 mL glass water bottles, 1/4” acrylic rods and John Guest bulkheads. Did all 3 of these in less than 10 minutes and happy with the way they came out. Hoping to get my doser set up this week!

If you dont mind me asking where you got the 1/4” bulkheads please? 1/4” rigid tubing?

Hey sorry for the late reply, been swamped and just seeing this! I got the 1/4” bulkheads from my LFS and the rigid tubing I got at Home Depot!

I'm going to answer my own question in case anyone is looking for this information. I found 1/4 rigid acrylic tubing in Amazon. They have 2 lengths. The brand is Plastic-Craft and the name of the product is "Acrylic Extruded Tube Round - Clear - 72" Length x 1/8" ID 1/4" OD 1/16" Wall (Nominal) Pack of 5" or "Acrylic Extruded Tube Round - Clear - 11-7/8" Length x 1/8" ID 1/4" OD 1/16" Wall (Pack of 12) (Nominal)". Unfortunately it is not free shipping. I ended up with the 5x72in. Well packaged.
