Holy cow, 6 Atlantiks?! You could light that footprint VERY well with only 4 of those fixtures. I'll soon have 3 of them over my 72 x 36" 300 gallon. They are pretty amazing.

Tank arrived today. Due to delivery being during the workday I decided to rent a forklift vs trying it with man power. Stand is in place. I’ll be building a wrap for the stand or having it built. I’ll be placing 3/4” plywood on top of the stand and either foam or a leveling mat on top of the plywood.

Oh man that is awesome. Your overflow box is almost as big as my tank lol. Can't wait to see this thing setup.

Also it always amazes me the things fork lifts can move. Totally looks like you should be going head over heals into the ground.

Made lots of progress this weekend. Finished and leak tested the custom acrylic 160 gallon sump I built, moved the tank onto the stand and started building the wood wrap for the stand.

The wrap is attached to the aluminum frame with magnets super glued to the frame and to the smooth

1/4” plywood panels. The plywood will be painted and then sealed with water based spar urethane. The trim pieces are vinyl and attached with heavy duty Velcro.

I really like these dimensions for a peninsula.

And 28” deep is an ideal depth IMO. I'm at 27” and reaching the bottom is pretty much perfect without having to stick your armpit (or even worse, face) into the water to reach the bottom.

Looking forward to more updates. Thumbs up on that sump btw.

Tank has been cycling for two weeks now but without the sump as I wanted to finish the internals of the canopy before plumbing the two return lines.

I will paint the 2x4’s but the uprights are made of pvc. The lights are each suspended by 2 x 1/4” 316 stainless steel rods. The use of pvc and 316 stainless steel was to decrease maintenance and increase longevity.

The canopy wrap will include 18” tall sliding doors made from white and plastic on plastic tracks again to handle splashes without degrading.

Each side has a control board. Flow isn’t finalized but will include at lease 2x mp60’s, 2xmp40’s and 2 multi swirls on the far end powered by 2 x reef octopus Varios 8’s.

I may include additional mp’s and/or gyres.

@LiquidEric How are things coming along? I ordered a tank from MRC/SeaAtlanta with the same footprint just an inch taller. I'm having it made with two 1" closed loops for the far end as well. Really curious to see how yours is progressing.
Finished quarantine and added the powder blue, Achilles, bellus angel pair, radiant wrasse, and Labout’s fairy wrasse last night and after the first few hours today there hasn’t been aggression. Did start chaeto in the sump 2 weeks ago and plan on turning on the lights in a week and adding a few hardy lps that have been in a fishless system for the last few months.
