November is Election Month

Hi Everyone,
The Long Island Reef Association's (LIRA) November 2018 meeting will be on Friday, 11/2/2018.

Note: This is an election year for 2019/2020 seats.
The clubs board of directors is up for election this year, please visit the clubs website http://longislandreef.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=686 to view the 6 board seats. All current members in good standing are eligible to run for board seat so if you'd like to nominate yourself or another member (with their approval) please post their name in the Club's Forum link above (not in this R2R thread).

Update: Nomination is now close and voting has begun, winners will be announced at the November meeting.

Thanks for another helpful meeting. I found Jay's presentation and the follow up questions very useful and have me thinking about my system. Very interesting his use of marine pure v live rock and long term considerations, plus the simplicity to his approach (given teh size of his systems and what's at stake).

Came home with a nice supply of frags for my current restocking mode at a fraction of the cost had I purchased and had shipped using traditional means.

My appreciation to all involved in putting together and hosting the meeting.
