My understanding for the original krak zoanthid is due to the collection local, aka near Krakatoa in Indonesia. Not 100% sure if this is true, but it was referenced when the krak craze was at its peak. I'm interested in buying a krak zoa, but I'd like to see them in person first.

Pink Kraks are enroute, but here's what I've got so far!

And, of course, Grand Master Kraks

I apologize that they're not all the best pics and/or angles. :)

Pink Kraks and Predators arrived today. That finishes the Krak collection!

As a side note... Predators and GMK look a LOT alike in person.

That's definitely a GMK! The Ultra Speckled looks interesting. Where'd you get it?

I've also seen a CB Bloodshot Krak. Trying to determine if it's different enough from the others to pursue it.

so any features that make them different or unique than normal zoanthids?

The "krak" is a reference to Krakatoa, reflecting the area in Indonesia where the original zoas were collected.

From what I gather, this is the OG Krak that started it all back in the day. I'd love to find one!

Ultra speckled, blood shot…. that’s all name game. Speckled kraks do vary slightly in presentation. CB will spin off anything, rebrand and double the price. The ‘ultra’ is superfluous as well. It’s just a very well conditioned example (and kudos to the new owner cause it’s a nice piece!) @Hooz if you search old r2r threads on this you’ll find adults bickering like children how ‘one is bigger’ or ‘more orange/green/magical’ lol.

I know and own a JF pink krak but there is also gmk, a**krak, speckled krak, and the morphs of them

I have the A** Kraks, Speckled Kraks, Pink Kraks, Krak Gods, Grand Master Kraks and Funk Master Krak (Predator). They're all distinctly different zoas (color and pattern)... Although you could argue that Predators are just a GMK morph, but distinct enough for me to want both.

There are a few others out there. I'm just trying to determine which ones are just morphs and which are distinct enough to warrant picking them up.

So, I thought I was done with the available Kraks, but a buddy found Queen Kraks, and now I have them on the way as well! :D

Here's a semi blurry, zoomed in picture of the Queen Kraks, just for reference.

And Pink Kraks, because I don't think I posted them in here before... Looks like I need to do some bubble algae cleanup too.

NOW I think that's all of them! :D

Grand Master Krak, Funk Master Krak (Predator), Queen Krak, Speckled Krak, Krak Gods, A** Krak, and Pink Krak.

Sorry to bring up an older thread, so just to make sure I understand from reading, a Krak is just because of where it’s collected and not about any special design (per se) of the Zoa. If it’s collected on or near Krakatoa, it’s a Krak. The name it gets depends on how it looks, correct?
