My clownfish finally started to get cosy with my bta! But while i was observing, i noticed the side of his mouth had a white bump... Anything to be concerned about?

Anyone?

As an update, this morning the little fella seemed to be doing well. No signs of lethargy or difficulty breathing. Fed well. Will continue to monitor.

Keep an eye on it. Could be injury. Look out for infection.

You mean the anenome started hosting him!!

When you go to hang out or live with someone, you are not the host.

Sorry.. pet peeve.

I fully understand that... But then... It's the fish that actively... "does" something... Right? As in, the fish decides? So what do i say the fish does?

That is the problem, in parasitic relationships you have the parasite and the host. But for symbiotic or mutualistic relationships there is only a term for the host.

The clown fish is indeed the one "doing something".. he is living in the anenome. But in terms of describing what is going on, the best term would be bonded.

Your clowns have bonded with your anenome.

Again, not a big deal. I'm just a biologist and when I hear people on the LFS say.. "my clownfish is hosting" I often say...oh yeah..what's he hosting? Ich? Parasitic worms?

"Bonded"... Perfect word. Thanks!

I get you. In my line of work, my pet peeve is the word digitization. Vs Digitalization. Oftentimes i get vendors who push "digitization of the workplace/workforce"... And when i tell them i achieved the same thing the other day by taking a picture of my team, they look at me confused...

"I have to go to the ATM machine"...

What's an automated teller machine machine?

Congrats on the nem bonding. My clowns have bonded with the overflow box :(

"We have not done well so far, so we need to improvise"

You mean we have to make things up as we go, in order to do better?

Update: Took the little fella to the LFS where he was QTed over the weekend. Yesterday, the owner pronounced him fine and I brought him home. He looks perfectly fine now.

Also, while he was away, the other two bonded to the nems as well! I was worried there might be some fighting when he was reintroduced, but this morning, I woke up to this...
