Just set this tank up and looking for inhabitants that will keep the sand clean as it becomes ready to host organisms.. the Rock used is actual live rock from Australia and is pretty light overall, one big giant piece with a few smaller ones placed around.. it collects A lot of detritus just because of the many secluded pockets where I can’t seem to get flow just from the few hermits in there cleaning it up. (Lots of fecal matter) I am looking for suggestions on best organisms to turn the sand bed over heavily and keep it well kept. I’m leaning towards a Goby / Pistol shrimp or pair but I am unsure of if it is safe to have one with the way the rock is laid as it sits just a little buried into the sand and not directly on the glass. Almost impossible to get it to do that in the first place as the many branches make it wobbly in the first place even on a solid surface. It’s not stacked or anything just one big piece laid across the bottom and again its pretty light in weight. My only concern is them burrowing and the large piece shifting and smacking the glass underneath.. Or rolling.. whichever. Also any suggestions on how to keep the inner areas clean besides just siphoning them out?? Thanks
