About our Coral Farm & Aquatic Life Facility Main Display Aquarium



SPS Dominated Mixed Reef Tank (Display and "Grow Out Tank")
First set up in 2014, the main display aquarium in our LiveAquaria® Coral Farm & Aquatic Life Facility is a vibrant, 300-gallon SPS-dominated mixed reef aquarium that showcases many of our prized specimens including a wide variety of reef-safe Fairy Wrasse and Anthias species. Among these beautiful and notable species included a truly unique Aberrant Hawaiian Yellow Tang.

Purpose/Function
  • Educational, "teaching" aquarium used to explain fundamental principles of reef aquarium care
  • Showcase notable or "hard-to-find" corals and fish
  • House "mother" colonies of choice coral specimens from which fragments are removed for propagation
  • Grow-out tank for new and noteworthy coral frags (Observe and document growth habit and monitor to see if they retain their color and other unique features)

  • Bare Bottom - No Substrate
  • Reefscape/Live Rock - About 150lbs of Real Reef Solutions™ Bolder and Shelf Eco-Friendly rock aquascaped in a "Figure 3" design stacked in a smaller-footprint "Reverse Pyramid" format to ensure good water flow. Stable, smaller pieces form the foundation and secured with TwoLittleFishies AquaStik Epoxy Putty.
  • Rockwork also stacked 4"-5" away from the back aquarium wall to ensure superior water movement and ease of maintenance.
  • Custom-Built Stand and Suspended Canopy/Hood
