I haven’t been on the forums for the past week or so because I have had a roller coaster of a ride the last couple weeks. To make a long story short, my house flooded with sewage water, and I was forced to move. Yes, that means my entire system had to move with me. It was a crazy experience, but it is now all hooked up at our new house. We only had three days to completely move everything, so I didn’t really get to take pictures of the set up this time but this is what I have. I’m still not done, I have to finish hooking the apex up and clean up all the wiring. Also, with moving on such a short notice, I had to put the display inside my garage instead of plumbing it through the wall and having the display in the house like before. Well here it is, I’m about to pass out and finish it tomorrow. I’m exhausted

That sounds a but if a nightmare experience so I hope it’s all going to be ok for you!

Are you going to move the display back into your new house when you get the chance?

Unfortunately I don’t think I’m going to move it inside, only because the layout of this house would make it extremely difficult.

Sorry to hear of your troubles...just means good things are coming! You had a pic of a beautiful blue S. Gigantea early on, but don't see it in any of your FTS...do you still have it? Where is it located? I'm a nem geek and have a anemone dominated tank.

Thank you, I hope some good things are coming my way.

I still have it, it is actually inside my display refugium/frag tank. When I get home later today, I will take some pictures and post them. I lost a couple prized pieces, but for the most part I only had a 2-5% die off rate. I lost my favorite challice though .

Looks great! How long have you had it? Did you have to treat for infection? That's my favorite thing in my own tank! Looking forward to updates.

I’m not sure if I just got lucky or what, but I didn’t treat it with any antibiotics like some people recommend. I’ve only had it for about 3 months or so, but it has colored up a lot. It’s really hard to tell from my photos how blue it really is, but when I first picked it up, it was really pale. Almost a baby blue color.

Dang! Moving everything plus your tanks in 3 days is nothing short of a miracle! I bet you were dead afterwards!

It’s been four days and I still feel like I am dead LOL. We moved the entire house and system with only three people. It was myself with the help of two really good friends. I literally worked for almost 72 hours straight moving everything, only took about two hours to rest each night. It was insane, but we are all moved in to our new place and extremely happy to be out of there.

Well things are finally starting to settle in and find their place. The first picture is when everything was a disaster and trying to put the system together. Second picture was taken about five minutes ago. As you can see, it’s been a crazy week. I’m also going to post some Pictures of the few corals that almost died to document their recovery.

well I wanted to put all my vortech controllers together but the cords aren’t long enough. Do they sell longer cords that can be swapped out, from the controller to the dry side ?

Well this is as far as I got last night. Still have to hook up my display lights and vortechs from the display. I also have a eb8 and eb4 coming in today, but I think I made a mistake by buying a eb8 because I don’t think I’ll need it. I’m going to use the eb4 for my heater and chiller since they accept a higher amperage.

Quick update; I finished all the electrical and redid the quick aquascape. I tried to make more room for my fish to swim around but am not sure if I like how “bare” it looks. I also took the leather out, and now it really looks empty. I may end up putting the leather back in, but as of now I have been trying to switch over to mainly sps

On the bright side, it’s not dead and is in fact coming back. I’ll take a updated picture tomorrow

My die off percentage was really low, but still lost some prized pieces. It’s inevitable when you have this much coral and have to move in such a short time but not bad for being all the sps that was lost.

Both of these were taken on February 6th. The bubblegum chalice and lobo were both hating life and on the brink of death. Both are doing much better and will make a full recovery with time. I’ll post updated pictures tomorrow
