Hello I’ve had a few posts in the past but figured I’d start a build thread. I have a glass cages 300 with a 180 acrylic I turned into a sump. The whole thought was to keep it low buck and budget friendly as possible. Lol it hasn't seemed to work so far. Built my stand and floating canopy out of extruded aluminum and wrapped in water proof vinyl plank. Running 2 48” reefbreeders V2+ lights with the vdm modules hooked to my apex. Went with a reef octopus regal 250 sss it’s a beast. And a 24x24 fuge with a kessil 350 purple above it growing sea lettuce like crazy. Pumping water back to the display and fuge with 2 coral box dca 9,000’s. 32F625AD-B2EF-4B68-B3B5-49B3C6E366E5.jpeg B6159C81-D1FD-40F3-9050-248FDA325EA6.jpeg 0EBB30C2-8328-4CC4-83CA-956716C0359E.jpeg 9F486DFB-0C41-4E5B-96D1-3686E21F8A34.jpeg 6F06AF9E-C4DA-456A-98A1-E1A906951168.jpeg 3984F810-0850-4F0B-AA1F-7FD1BF8981B0.jpeg B92F4328-2CEF-4E24-AA6D-3BC3EB726C2F.jpeg

Started out with removable panels on the front. They were a pain so most of the time they got left off. Lol wife hated it!! So I hung trucks under the shelf and put the panels on rollers

Thanks!! Joe is awesome!! You’ll love working with him. Originally the panel were pop in. The backing was smaller then the panels the the would sit in the frame. Put the were a pain so I ended up hanging a track and put them on rollers. So much better. The sides are open for now. Might make panels for them but having the sides open has been nice and not visible unless your on the side of the tank. For the shelf I used t-slot fasteners and built the shelf out of extrudedput t-nuts in the extrusion track then drilled and counter sank the vinyl.

The extrusion is 45x90 mini tec. Put a 3/4” starboard top on it. The a 1/2” high density foam mat on top of that for the tank to rest on. If I had it to do over I would have put leveling feat under it. Shims worked but what a pia!!
