I'm setting up my 1k gallon aquarium with a total system volume being around 1300-1500 gallons. The aqaurium and filteration will be in my basement what do folks recommend for a return pump?

This is a super cool setup. You gotta post pictures.

What is the total head between the sump and the outlet? How many return pumps were you considering for this tank, 2 or more?

Probably going to have to be an Abyzz. A200 would probably suffice if you only do 2x or a little more turn over per hour. Otherwise you’ll have to go bigger. I’m also a fan of running multiple return pumps for redundancy.

Ahhh. I misread your first post. I thought the tank was on the main level and the sump was in the basement.

I run a Jebao dcp-20000 at twice the height. Abyzz is the holy grail but so is the price yet I doubt that's a problem with a 1k tank

I have 1100 gallon display and I run a Reeflo hammerhead.
I am extreamly pleased with it.
Not expensive
Very quiet
Been running over a year now with no issue
