Is anyone concerned about the par information BRS stated with the 48" light? It was lower than they recommend.

@randyBRS - for the PAR measurements that you are taking on the newer videos what depth in the tanks are the sensors and are they filled with water?

Great question! Both tanks are filled with water and both are 24"inches tall. That said, we take all PAR measurements in both tanks at 6", 12", 18" inches deep in the tank. (So measurements covering 6"inches below the top of the glass and 6"inches off the very bottom.) :)

I would like to add also that the lights come standard with the 90 degree lenses. If you ask them they will give you 120's. That will allow you to come down closer to the water surface. In my setup, I mounted the light in the canopy and I'm about 5~6" from the water surface. I had to take the lenses out so I don't get the disco effect. I added a clear cover and still get 200ish par in the center 8" under the water surface @ 85%.
I have a mixed tank and it does grow sps.
I would highly recommend this light.

@randyBRS What would be the suggestions for a mixed reef? Half way between the two spectrum/intensity settings? I have the 48” setup at 16” above the water on a 90 gallon 24” deep.
