Hey all, I just had an outbreak of Velvet in my display tank and although there is still a fish holding on, I doubt he'll make it long judging by the symptoms he's showing. Therefore I will be going though the 76 day fallow period and since I've never kept hard corals before, this seems like a perfect opportunity to learn. Since I'm inexperienced with hard corals (except for sun corals) which corals would be good choices for a newbie? I was told the pocillopora genus would be a good choice but what about others as well?

P.S. I might delete and repost this in the morning when more people are awake since I want a wide variety of reefers to weigh in so please take it easy on me if and when you see it one more time.
Thanks guys!

Just choose the ones you like, get your water parameters correct and away you go.
