I would like to know how I can put together the fused backup cables for the Vortech battery backup line myself. I know its probably not worth my time but I was curious.

Cheers and Happy reefing.

Theyre only like $5 on ecotechs website.

Youll spend more on a fuse holder, wire and the correct polarity barrel cables for both ends.
I bought them for my DIY battery backup and cut one end off to hardwire to the battery.

3.5mm x 1.35mm DC Power Jack. Ive used dozens and dozens for little Ecotech Battery compatible voltage meters.

Thanks! That answered one of my Questions, I was looking for mounting help with my Ecotech Battery Backup. My best location will require a 90° Jack or I’ll have to mount it horizontally. I’m assuming it has lithium cells and can be mounted in any orientation???? ;Nailbiting

It is standard sealed lead acid battery inside- see this thread for components.

I believe (double check) its fine to it horizontally.

I haven’t been able to find any references to orientation  I’m mounting them vertically just in case! Thanks!

Still looking for 90° Connections but I found these. Are they the right thing?

Looks good to me. Worst case you can use Amazon’s free return.
