Looking for mandarin, or another dragonet. Wondering if this is enough pods for one?

I know they eat one every 5 seconds on average. Will be wipe out this population? One of my rocks is very very well seeded (I’ve had it in two tanks now, and both tanks were booming with pods). By the pictures, is it possible to know if a mandarin for example could survive on this population?
It is a 30 gallon tank, and every square inch of glass looks like this. Is it possible to have too many pods? Lol

If true that it's 1 every 5 seconds that's over 17,000 a day or 120,000 a week, sorry but no way will a 30g tank be able to sustain that amount of pods.

It might be handy to try and get one that eats frozen or pellets.
That’s a possibility. Lfs sells them captive bred that are already on pellets/frozen. Difference is they are $100 instead of the regular $30. But that’s cheaper than buying pods in the long run...

Definitely true. I mean I have a lot, but I did that math also and I don’t think I have that much. Captive bred, already on frozen food is a possibility though.

Tanks go through pod blooms. Very common after cycle finishes. If your tank is new, they will almost always stabilize to where you won't have them all over to the point where they are seen easily.

A tank as small as yours will need the following:

Refugium for pod growing and you'll need to train your mandarin to eat prepared. SOURCE: My mandarin is almost 1.5 years old in a 44 gallon with 10 gallon sump and is not skinny at all.
