Calibrating pH probe question (s).
How long do you keep the probe in calibration solutions?
Does the Raw Data number ever stop bouncing back and forth? I'm leaving the probe in each solution for 40 min or so and the numbers never completely level out.
When you select (Next) and then (Save) are trying to select on the lower number or higher number?
Thank you in advance for any help. This is kind of frustrating. But them again I've never paid attention to pH only Alk. My tank is running 7.56-7.78. I'm aware of room C02 issues etc.... Dosing Kalk etc... Pulling fresh air etc.. Nothing seems to make the slightest of of difference.

Which unit are you trying to calibrate RKE, RKL or Archon? I usually leave it around 20min and don't pay any attention other than making sure in is near what is normal for the module I am using usually keep track of the raw data when I am calibrating so I have an idea what it was before. I have the Archon. It has been quite awhile since I went through a calibration on one of the others.

I recently received a SLX module and it appears as 'Unknown Module' in my NET interface.

I suspect the module might have just never been supported by NET, does anyone know differently or have any tips?

Are you using a different brand conductivity probe on your SLV2 module? If so can you share with me the details?

I have a SL2v2 module that will not calibrate, the raw values for both ph and salinity probes do not fluctuate.

I suspect the unit is damaged, I did clean off some minor corrosion off the pcb with no results.

Does anyone have any repair or troubleshooting tips? I would really hate to bin this as it was kind of expensive and terribly hard to replace.

Are you sure it is not a probe issue? You can update the firmware with myReef. On the NET you would have to update the webpages that are compatible with the firmware you are installing. What firmware is on your NET and also your SL2v2

I am not sure if it's a probe issue (could be) I have tried two different new ones. I am getting weird values on other values as well, additionally the values do not change when I disconnect the probe.

Do you happen to know if these firmware values are the latest? The wording is a little confusing to me on how they address their updates.

I got 2.09 firmware and 2.12 webpages for NET. I have 2.22 for firmware for SL2v2. Are you sure you have a SL2v2 and not the SL2?

It does say v2 on the device cover, but I bought it from ebay, so who really knows.

That's really interesting about the firmware. Do you know where I could download those? I installed the modules that came with the version of MyReef that I found here.

I really appreciate your help answering my questions.

I have the firmware. I will send it when I get home today. If the SL2 has a BNC connector for the salinity probe it is a v2 module. The older one had a DIN connector instead.

It has the bnc connector.

I wouldn't mind seeing the latest version of the SLX module as well.

Thank you so much!

Thank you for responding. I was using the SL1. I decided to try the PH port on my RKM-SL2. The head unit is the Elite. I knew the SL1 was reporting pH way to low. On the RKM-SL2 the Raw data numbers literally settled within 10 min (if that). I've never used the system to monitor anything. Temp, that's about it. Otherwise I only used the unit to turn things on and off. Now I'm trying to dig into the system a bit more.

I would love to know the following things:

How are your moonlights programmed.

Also can I use any ph probe or does it have to be DA?

Below is the programming for one of the three channels on my MLC module. I use the MLC function. You can use any pH probe with a BNC plug I believe. I have used BRS brand and Pinpoint.

Does anyone have a zip file with the most up to date hex and bin files for the reefkeeper elite? I can't seem to find them anywhere.
