Last night I lost my yellow tang. We had him/her for five years and I’m not sure what happened. I fed her yesterday and everything seemed fine. I’m not sure if this has any thing to do with it. But five minutes after I added tropic marins elimi-phos my tang was breathing heavy and laying in the sand bed. An hour later our favorite fish lay lifeless. Nothing changed in the tank. And everything else is doing great. Just wish I knew what happened. SMH, and morning the loss of a family member:( my heart is heavy

Elim phos is made from lanthanum chloride which has been known to kill tangs.

In order to use that product, you must drip it very slowly in a 5-10 micron filter sock to catch all the precipitants.

It‘s a dangerous product when not used correctly.
