So I have a separate thread on r2r detailing the last couple months of my tank.

The guy who took back the puffer he gave me 2 months ago had 3 fish die overnight within a week of getting it back and he is saying it's brook.

I have had 3 fish die over a month. All with zero signs of illness. Went from fat and happy and eating to missing or dead. One I never even found.

After puffer guy got ahold of.me yesterday I looked very closely at my lat remaining fish. Posting pics. His tail is looking chewed up. But I see no other signs of illness and this is the first I have noticed this.

Per api store test parameters are perfect and have been for weeks

Sorry, the pics aren’t clear enough for me to see much. Can you post a short video? That might work better.

So - after viewing the video, it isn't clear what the problem is. This species of fish doesn't have much contract in its coloration, so ich won't show up well. I can see some diffuse spots/streaks, but that could be Brooklynella , bacteria or ich. I think we can rule out velvet because the fish didn't seem to be breathing too fast. The tail issue could be bacterial, it isn't ich or Brooklynella.

So - what treatment? Trouble is these three potential issues have three different treatments!

Worst case scenario - longest fallow period would be 75 days with no fish in the DT.
