I need more useful fish. I don't know enough about the Genicanthus angels to definitively say I want one, especially since several sites say they can be agressive towards fairy and flashers. The possibility of a cool looking lesser agressive potential algae eater appeals to me.
Generally, Genicanthus don’t eat algae, they’re planktivores instead (hence why they’re more reef safe than other genera of Angels). In my experience, mine was never an aggressive Angel, but then again we’ve all seen my luck with fish. It doesn’t matter how hard of finicky they are… they just get along in my tank (So far Atleast, let’s not jinx it yet).

Not only are they grouchy, but they are gassy too. Not even joking. Little streams of fart bubbles all day long.
I did not need to know that :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Hey @Slocke just a quick question do you like the exquisite wrasse you have now or prefer the one that’s mostly blue? I think this would be a biased answer lol.

HAHA I love mine, its colors are great. It's the perfect fairy for me. Larger but very pretty and peaceful. I got it from Dr Reef so I didn't choose the color but I think I would have chosen this variant given the choice.

Larger? Really? I always thought of exquisitus to be a smaller one lol. The reason I asked is cuz I might want to add one to my tank. But, if you know me, am always torn between two things and can never decide lol.

edit: should’ve added “then end up getting both lol”

Big for me. It's got to be near 3" and that's much bigger than my lunatus or my previous naokaoe.
Also its not super rare.
