Lou Malnati's or Giordano's or.... What's your deep dish pizza preference?

Which is better?

Man, now Italian beef is on my brain! Mouth is drooling like my Boxers!!!!! Lol

Gotta get it while you're here! Italian beef and deep dish pizza is where it's at.

We also have the Vietmese and Indian inspired resteraunts as well. House of Pho makes decent Vietmese inspired dishes.

Godavari in Hoffman Esates makes pretty good Indian dishes. Plus, it's in the same shopping center as my closest lfs;)

Best pizza I have ever had was tony & albas in CA. Dont remember the city but was the original before they branched out. Mountain view CA I think. Got them every night before the giants game at candlestick park. Tony and alba made the pies.
That was in the 80's.
Anyway my favorite was "garlic, clam, and tomato".
I can taste it just thinking about it.
Corporate was in Chicago on Wacker dr when I worked for Morton. Dont remember the place but the Pizza was to die for.

I'm a Gino's East guy.
I briefly attended UIC and Gino's East was my place of choice.
I'll be at Reefapalooza and plan on stopping in, for sure.
Similar story...worked at UIC for four years. Tried all the deep dish places I could find. It is a matter of taste, but I like Ginos East also. Sad they have all turned into chains (Uno, Giordianos, Malnatis, Ginos)...it has negatively impacted quality from my memories of deep dish from years ago.

Heading to Chicago for RAP. Deep dish pizza is a must to try.

Which one is better? Or what's your preference? Tell us why!
GREAT Question! I think we should try BOTH!

ROFL Tomato soup in a bread bowl..... Sound like deep dish "pizza" to me too. Skip that nonsense and go get some traditional thin crust NYC pizza.

You do realize pizza as we know it evolved from Italy with tomato sauce on focaccia bread? And where did all the Italian settle when they came to the USA? NYC of course, and where is the best pizza made? NYC of course. :p

Seriously though, Uno's I found to be the best for my palate when I visited.

Hey hey hey, there are plenty of Italians in Chicago too. If you want some authentic Italian, do not forget to pass by Little Italy.
