Low dKH in tank (7.2) even though my salt mix is 11

So i have an 8 week old Reefer 170 that has been cycled for about 3 weeks. I have no corals and only 3 mollys in the tank.
I'm using Frits Reef Pro which when tested after mixing has a dKH of 11 but my tank water is 7.2 after a water change it goes up for a few days then drops again.
Anyideas?

Ideas? That’s normal. Rising nitrate, for example, depletes alkalinity. So does abiotic precipitation which is common at 11 dKH, especially in a new tank where there is plenty of fresh calcium carbonate to act as a nucleating site.

Thank you for your reply. Would you recomend dosing to get it higher before introducing fish and corals?

7.2 dKH is fine. If it drops below 7, I’d dose.
