I have (2) 6055 wavemakers in my 75G tank. They are controlled by my Apex. What is the lowest power percentage they can be set to with Apex control before they stall out? Thanks.

I could not say, I am not sure if Apex has updated the speed control. Our pumps made before mid 2015 used a 0-8V signal and 30% was the minimum, newer pumps are 0-6.5V and 20% is the minimum, I have never used an Apex so I do not know the details of the settings or speeds.

@rvitko Do you know if the 6055 0-6.5v 20% minimum is the right signal for a Profilux 3? The GHL KB still shows the 0-8v signal. TIA

If it is a newer model with built in 7090.500 controller, the 0-6.5V signal applies, if it is an older one, without controller they use 0-8V

Thanks, I just bought it and haven't gotten it yet, so should be new controller, just getting prepared. I thought 0-10v was always 0-10v, electronically challenged, lol. Thanks again!

0-10V should be, the issue is we launched our first DC pump in 1994, there was no standard then, so we went with 0-8V, I am not really sure why the new ones use 0-6.5V but I believe it has something to do with the board voltage for the chip set and simplifies the board. In any case, if you use a 0-6.5V pump with 0-8V all that happens is 6.5-8 is 100% and the speeds overall will be off, but it will work.

I once did some metering with the 7090.500 controller of one of my 6055 DC pumps. In order to synchronize another pump - referring to GND at pin 2 - pin 1 of its DIN5 socket puts out about 0.03V when off, immediately skipping to 3.73V for minimum, then increasing to 7.15V for maximum power.

Using my AquariOS controller, with the respective output calibrated to 10V, I accordingly run these pumps with the 'Power Range' restricted to $5F..$B7 (of $00..$FF), though I found, that a minimum of 2.7V (= $45) would also work flawlessly. On the upper end, with 10V (= $FF) on the control wire I likewise didn't experience any harm.
