Been fiddling with my doser, started kalk for ph and dosing nitrates. Think I got it dialed in now. Trates need to go down and alk needs to go a bit.

I finally got around to putting up my control board. It took me way too long, 5 hours.

I still have two outlets to setup but it’s done for the most part. Have some wires to tuck away too.

Unfortunately I have cyno. What’s crazy is it’s because I added a second mp10 and they are canceling each other out at the lower half of the tank. Need to make some moves it’s nothing crazy yet.

I think I have the cyno under control. Yesterday I did a 40% water change and set my mp10 to anti sync. The pump change was the game changer. They were canceling each other out on the lower half of the tank.

no Cyno today on the sand.

as you can see it never got too bad. it’s all about flow.

Got some new toys today at the LFS. I think I’m officially done getting toys. The tank should be fully automated except for water changes but could be now that I have two DOS

for now I plan to run alk, calcium, kalk and magnesium using the trident.

got two nice pieces as well.

my flame angel went to town on both of them when I put them in. I’m officially going to remove the flame angel and take it back to the LFS. My hope is all the polys will come out a month after the flame is gone. I know polyp extension will improve dramatically because at night all the Corals have good PE. I do hope the flame finds a good new home.

I was able to glue the new pieces today. I need to pull back on the reef roids I get a bloom and Cyno the day after I add it. Still trying to figure out the best combo for my two pumps.

Well after about two hours today I got the flame angel out of the tank. It ended up wedding itself in a hole in the live rock and from what I could tell, it actually was stuck. I had to break the rock open to get it out. Had some damage to its tail but I think it will pull through. Dropped it off at the store with the long spine urchin.

im glad it’s done but it was rough. The scape took a beating and will probably lose some coraline. I think I broke at least 4 corals.

I hope it was worth it and by the end of the month I see good polyp extension from all my corals.

i had to drain all the water but a couple inches. More than half of the rock removed. The angel was stuck in one of the base rocks.
glad it’s over.
