So I saw a reef online that had a bunch of different macro algae interspersed in with the coral and it looked so natural. I was wanting to kinda do the same with my mixed reef anything that would be ok to keep with a couple of tangs? The tank is a 125 lit with AI Hydras. Also the tank has a blond Naso, sailfin, and rabbit fish.

The tank I saw had a few tangs. But it was also huge maybe 400 gallons.

that and/or the fact that those tangs are well fed. Some of the macro algaes, like dragon breath, don't last long in a tank with that many tangs

I have a nice macro I keep in my tanks that tangs won't eat. I'm not sure the species but the common name was Violet dream. Tangs taste it but won't eat it after that.
