Magus curve 5 vs curve 5 elite

What’s the difference? I see it has a twisty thing, is that a valve for the air? Or like water level or something? I have a small sump and can’t have my water level over 8inches. I see the manufacturer says 9.5-11” but people always say to put it at 8. Does the same go for the elite model?

The main difference3 is the addition of a sicce psk needle wheel pump in the elite line.

Yes it's the pump difference. Save yourself some $ and buy the standard curve 5.

l have a Curve 7 with the standard pump and it works well and is dead silent.

This is a bigger skimmer for only 50 more than the elite 5 and it uses only 16w.

Sicce pumps have this mythical high end high performance hype. They cost more mainly because a lot of skimmer companies have some lame specifics with a Sicce and lock you in. They are also made overseas so shipping costs are built in.
